Results for IELTS on paper are available 13 days after you take the test. Results for IELTS on computer are available after three to five days.
You may request an IELTS USA test center to send copies of your Test Report Form to up to five institutions or organizations free of charge. Please note postal fees may be charged for these initial five Test Report Forms if the request is to be sent to institutions outside the United States via postal mail.
After the fifth free Test Report Form, test centers may charge administrative and/or postal fees for Test Report Forms that are required to be sent by postal mail.
If the organization has elected to receive scores electronically using the secure IELTS system (and postal mailing is not required), you will not be charged.
You will also receive one personal copy of your Test Report Form (TRF) by postal mail. Please make sure you enter your mailing address correctly so your results are sent to the right address. The TRF will only be replaced if it’s lost or damaged.
To get a copy of your TRF, you will need to contact the test center where you took the test, and submit a request in writing. You will also need to provide a copy of the ID document you used on test day.
Scores can be previewed online for a limited time after they are released by logging into the IELTS USA online registration system test taker account. Note, provisional IELTS results may not be used as an official IELTS Test Report Form, which will be issued by postal mail.
Organizations may choose to receive either printed hard copy Test Report Forms or use the E-Delivery service to download results from their institution’s IELTS Results Service account. Please check with your chosen organization to find out which score delivery option they prefer.
Due to high demand, it could take 14 to 21 days for the recognizing organization(s) to process your results. If your organization has not received your IELTS test results after 21 days, please email stakeholder@ieltsusa.org.
If your IELTS test center has closed, your results can be sent to your nominated organizations, by completing the Closed IELTS Test Center Form below.
Note: You can only request your results from a closed IELTS test center within two years of your test date. If your test date was more than two years ago, you cannot use the form below.
