About IELTS USA

 

IELTS USA is a registered 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization that champions the use of IELTS among US educational institutions that use the test for admission and other purposes. IELTS USA oversees the delivery of IELTS tests in the United States. 


Mission statement

To support individuals and organizations within the United States in evaluating English language proficiency through high-stakes testing for the purpose of education, employment, professional accreditation and global mobility.

Vision

To establish IELTS as the premier high-stakes test of English language in the United States through quality service and support to test takers, teachers, researchers, recognizing organizations, professional associations, test centers and global partners.

IELTS USA departments

The US higher education team provides support to educational institutions and organizations that accept IELTS in the USA. This aim is achieved through on-campus professional development sessions, stakeholder workshops, presentations, webinars, and individual consultative services.

The US marketing team increases brand awareness among institutions and test takers across the United States. 

Communication is delivered via conferences, events, social media, public relations, advertising, and email marketing campaigns.

The team also develops and maintains strategic partnerships that boost IELTS USA awareness at an organizational level. The aim is to further expand our reach to potential test takers across the USA.

The US operations team supports business operations and reports to the IELTS Board of Directors.

The US test center operations team ensures the high quality and secure administration of IELTS testing throughout the United States. This is delivered through annual training and auditing of US test center staff.

The team also works to expand IELTS accessibility across the US by growing the test network to meet increased demand.
